Visco-elastic Memory Foam

This special foam slowly responds to body temperature and weight, taking the shape of the user – and slowly recovers its original shape when the heat and pressure is removed.

What should I look for when buying a memory foam mattress?

visco elastic memory foam There are many factors that can influence what kind of mattress you buy - bedroom size, bed base or frame size, and budget.
When purchasing a memory foam mattress consider how deep you would like the mattress to be and what percentage of that is a memory foam layer. Our mattresses are 20cm deep overall, with between 2.5cm to 7cm of memory foam, in a single layer.

You will spend a large percentage of your life lying on your mattress and it is essential to ensure that you are comfortable and have as much space as possible. So it is good advice to buy as large a mattress as you can afford or as space will allow.

To save you time and energy all of our memory foam mattresses are single sided and will not require turning.

What's this 55kg rating all about?

One of the main measurements is the density of the memory foam, this is often expressed as a weight, ie; 55kg/m3. This should really be expressed as a density though, i.e. - it really means that a cube of the foam 1m x 1m x 1m would weigh 55kg. While this is not a firmness rating you can use it as a good rule of thumb.

To get a denser memory foam, the manufacturer has to put in more of the raw materials that compose the foam. Our range of memory foam mattresses have one layer of 'medium feel' 55kg memory foam and a base layer of 'reflex' foam making the rest of the mattress.

How long should I expect my Memory Foam Mattress to last?

Our selection of memory foam mattresses come with a full 5 year guarantee. Please note that over time, some natural sagging can occur. This is normal and to be expected.

How to care for your Memory foam mattress

rolled up mattress Memory Foam mattresses do not require turning as you would with a sprung mattress. Instead we suggest you rotate it from head to toe every 2 or 3 months.

Most of our memory foam mattresses are delivered vacuum packed and rolled up inside thick polythene wrapping.
We reccommend that you take your mattress to its room before unwrapping as once you undo the vacuum sealing the mattress will be a lot harder to move around!
You will probably need to use a sharp object to cut into the vacuum packaging - just be very careful you do not cut, nick or damage the mattress in any way.

Once you have unrolled your new mattress, you will observe that it is around only 7cm thick.
During the vacuum packing process, the mattress has all the air sucked out of it to reduce the size making the delivery of the mattress to our customers simpler and more cost effective.
Over the next 4 - 6 hours the mattress will recover to its true dimensions.
