This special foam slowly responds to body temperature and weight, taking the shape of the user – and slowly recovers its original shape when the heat and pressure is removed. All of our memory foam mattresses are single sided and will not require turning. What is memory foam?Quite simply, a polyeurethane foam featuring open visco elastic cells. The cells respond to body temperature, becoming softer in areas where contact is made, therefore moulding to your shape. Other mattress materials such as springs cannot fully respond to an individual’s shape and sleep habits, whereas memory foam creates a full moulding effect. Consequently, the lack of pressure points encourages less turning and therefore a more peaceful sleep. Memory foam has been used in healthcare for many years due to its pressure relieving properties.Due to the viscose properties, the material also returns to its original form very quickly and over a sustained period of time, hence increasing its lifespan. You will not find yourself rolling into the middle of a mattress with memory foam. |
